"Dubai's Tallest Building" continues to captivate those who witness the splendor of the "Burj Khalifa" and its panoramic views from every side.
A journey into the construction history of the "Burj Khalifa."
The project for the construction of the "Burj Khalifa" (also known as the "Burj Dubai") began on September 21, 2004, with the design by architect Adrian Smith. The construction of the building, with a project cost of 4.1 billion dollars, involved the use of 330,000 cubic meters of concrete and 39,000 tons of steel reinforcement. It took 22 million work hours to complete the structure.
The construction of the building commenced in 2004 during a period of economic prosperity. The exact height of the building is 828 meters, making it taller than the famous "Taipei 101" building. The total floor area is 344,000 square meters, and the building is equipped with a total of 58 elevators. The construction cost amounted to 1.5 billion dollars.
The "Burj Khalifa" stands out for its uniqueness, featuring the tallest residential floor, the highest service elevator, and the tallest observation deck on the 124th floor.
The official opening of the "Burj Khalifa" was conducted by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of the city. The opening ceremony took place 1,325 days after the commencement of excavation works and was attended by 60,000 guests.
The magnificence of the "Burj Khalifa" captures hearts, and its central location in Dubai attracts millions of tourists every year.
Three observation decks are open to the public on the 124th, 125th, and 148th floors. The "Burj Khalifa" is situated at a height of 452 meters on the 124th and 125th floors. However, the "SKY Lounge" on the 148th floor stands at a towering height of 555 meters.
Upon entering the highest observation deck, the host at the door will welcome you and introduce you to interesting facts about the building. The "SKY Lounge" elevator will then take you up to the 148th floor.
Thus, by reaching the highest observation deck of the "Burj Khalifa," you can savor the taste of the city's most spectacular views with an open terrace and premium-class surroundings.
